2022 Ragged Mountain Middle School Track Meet
Come join us for the 7th Annual Middle School Track Meet at UVa's Lannigan Field!
When: Thursday, May 12th from 5:00-7:00pm
Where: UVa's Lannigan Field, adjacent to Klockner & Davenport Field
Who: All Central Virginia middle schoolers in grades 5th-8th (public, private, home schooled)
Cost: Free!
Time Schedule: Exact schedule to be determined
Order of Events: 100, 1600, 400, 800, 200, 4x400 Relay
Event Limit: Athletes are limited to two (2) running events due to time constraints (but can also run the relay for a 3rd optional event).
Entry Instructions: Deadline for entries will be Friday, May 6th at midnight. NO ENTRIES will be accepted after that time as it is a lot of work to get all these processed and last second changes/additions just make things more complicated. We will use a different entry system this year, which I have emailed out to all coaches already.
Timing: After many years of help from Fork Union coach Winston Brown and his staff, we will move to Blue Ridge Timing for this year's event. All events will be FAT timed to ensure the highest level of accuracy in the results (compared to hand timing), especially in the shorter sprint events.
Parking: Available in the lot directly across from the Track on the other side of Copeley Road.
Contact: Mark & Alec Lorenzoni are the meet co-directors. You can email us or call us at 434-293-3367 with any questions. If you'd like to volunteer to help out, please let us know!
