Ragged Mountain ... A Community Neighbor
Here is a brief list of some of the volunteer civic accomplishments our family has been committed to and proud of over the past 35 years...
None of these volunteer opportunities and partnerships would have been possible without the support of you, our valued customers. Thanks!
- Organized and personally directed over 550 area not-for-profit local races since 1982, including the Charlottesville Ten Miler (1984-1995) and the Charlottesville Women’s Four Miler (2000-present). These area races, thanks to the support of the entrants and fellow volunteers, have then been able to donate over three million dollars to a variety of local non-profits.
- We have served as board members of several area not-for-profits including the Virginia Institute of Autism, The Charlottesville Track Club, MACAA, Camp Holiday Trails, The Haven, OAR, The Chamber of Commerce, The RTF, Meriwether-Lewis PTO, The Shelter For Help in Emergency The Olivet Church Session and more.
- Corner Merchants Association Head (1994-1997).
- Chamber of Commerce “Small Business Person of the Year” 1996.
- Sunday School High School teachers (1991 to present).
- Classroom Volunteer (for 15 years).
