Ragged mountain got me running after years or being unable to run distances, years or surgery recommendations, PT, MAT, cross training, rest, injections and even acupuncture. I am partial to Working with Alec who always makes time to meet with me, answer my questions and write a script. Shout out to Alec! However, I trust each and every staff member. They simply are the best of the best!
Went in for shoes for myself and my 10 year old daughter - everyone was so friendly and knowledgeable! The staff that helped us were extremely helpful, explained the theory behind their shoe choices for us, and seemed genuinely interested in ensuring we ends up with the best fit for what we want to do. We will definitely be back!
We have been shopping at RMRS for 4 years now. I refuse to go anywhere else! The staff is friendly and so helpful! They keep records of our shoe purchases and know what works and doesn't work for us. RMRS has done some amazing things for our running community and I couldn't be happier with them!
RMRS does an awesome job at fitting each costumer with the correct shoe. I was recently fitted for running shoes to use at VMI and they are amazing. I will definitely return to Ragged Mountain in the future to be fitted for running shoes.

I'm not a runner, but work on concrete floors 8 hours plus a day. To say my feet have suffered would be an understatement. The young man and young lady that greeted me took the time to actually listen to my foot issues and started working with me. They did not try to sell the most expensive shoe nor did they try to sell me the latest fashion. They sold me a shoe that let me walk without pain. So people of integrity are still around. And no you don't have to be a runner to shop at the awesome business.
Who knew finding the perfect running shoe could be so easy!? My only regret is not paying attention to the guy's name who helped us to give him the recognition he deserves for his friendly and knowledgeable assistance.
I spent over an hour in the store trying on multiple pairs of shoes. Even though my case was difficult due to some bunion issues, the staff was very accommodating and took their time to ensure that I found a shoe that was just right. Thanks for the great service; I will definitely return!
I love this place... The staff is amazing, knowledgeable, professional and friendly....They really do care about you and that is rare theses days. There is no other place I'd trust to purchase my running shoes. I've met so many people who have major issues, even w/ walking and this is where I send them... RMRS is a great family-owned shrine to all things running. This is a wonderful place to learn and grow and the best place to outfit yourself and your family in preparation for many miles. They will take good care of you and help you minimize wear and tear while you run away from Father time. There is no place else like RMRS. Many try but none can duplicate.

Great first experience today at RMRS. I was having some knee pain early on in my training program for my first half marathon. Two very helpful staff members took the time to ask me questions and closely examined my gait. They determined an insert to address my lack of an arch should help. I appreciated that they didn't automatically try to sell me a new pair of shoes when the ones I have still have some life in them. When it does come time to retire my shoes further into my program, I will be returning to RMRS.
I visited RMRS for the first time this past Saturday at the recommendation of my physical therapist. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and the pros were super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I walked out in a brand new pair of perfectly fitting running shoes (first time EVER!). Today I tried them out for the first time and my running experience has been forever changed! It was like coming home, after little running since knee injury in 2011. I had dabbling with some running since in my old shoes, and I started some heal pain in the last month. Came in for new shoes and Alec suggested the Aristar Boost. These shoes feel like supportive marshmallows! The morning after my first run in them, I had a fraction of the heal pain and it's getting better. So, good to see everyone. Glad Mark was in the house!

LOVE RMRS! The staff helped me figure out that my arch was collapsing and got me into the right shoes. Very helpful and knowledgeable! I wouldn't buy running shoes anywhere else!
Staff is always very helpful... they even offered to carry my bag to my car while I was holding my little one.
