Thank You for your interest in the Winter Mileage Club
This winter, as we continue to journey through the pandemic, we've decided to go in a different direction with our annual mileage club. In keeping with the theme of giving back, we're going to take your accumulated mileage and turn it into donations to a variety of worthy local causes and resources that have a positive impact on our running and walking community.
The club will run from 12/21-3/21, and there will be no fancy spreadsheet or google form this year, so just keep track of your mileage on your own and submit it at the end. We will have a Strava group titled "Ragged Mountain Polar Bears 2021" if you want to join and track your mileage there.
Accumulated Outdoor Walking & Running Mileage (12/21-3/21)
150 Miles = $5 donated
250 Miles = $10 donated
375 Miles = $15 donated
500 Miles = $20 donated
Mileage totals are due by 4/1, and please submit your totals online.
Once everyone has submitted their mileage, we will divide up the total amongst the following five non-profits...
-Rivanna Trails Foundation (RTF)
-Piedmont Environmental Council (PECVA)
-The Saunders Trail at Monticello
-The Botanical Garden of the Piedmont
-Run Your City (Charlottesville)
