Runners of the Week Thomas Gathright, a senior at Western Albemarle, who qualified for the state indoor championships for the first time, by placing 3rd in the 3200 at Regionals. Congrats to one hardworking athlete! Congrats to Paul Halliday and Christian McMillen on successfully completing The Holiday Lake 50K in the rain and mud last Saturday. UVa History Professors rock! |
About Runners of the WeekRunners of the Week has been a Ragged Mountain family tradition since 1982. Each week we select a few individuals (although sometimes we will actually spotlight all of the members of a relay team, like we did when the Western Albemarle Boys DMR indoor squad won the National title in 2008 or an entire team, as we did when the UVa Women won the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships way back in the Winter of 1982) as our “Runners of the Week".
