Patrick Paczkowski 3:16 and Josh Thomas 2:59, who ran great Boston qualifying times at the Tobacco Road Marathon on Sunday!
Allie Pesch, who qualified for Boston with a sweet 3:31 p.r. at the Tobacco Road Marathon!
Greg Glennon’s, who punched a ticket to Boston with a 3:16 at Tobacco Road!
The Fickley Lads (father and sons), who successfully completed the Shamrock Half Marathon!
Emily Voss, who ran a nifty 8 minute half marathon p.r. at Shamrock on Sunday.

Grace Gillis, who improved on her previous best by 20 minutes with a sparkling 3:38 at the D.C. Marathon! And Tom McQueeney who won the 80+ age group at the Haven 8k with an impressive 54:37!

Congrats to our longtime Ragged Mountain friend Cathie Branchaud, this year’s recipient of the CTC’s highest honor: The Charlottesville Track Club Lifetime Service Award. Way to go, Cathie. B.! And a big pat on the back to Nancy Davis-Imhoff and John Moody (Most Improved), Chris Gensic and Michelle Christian of the City Parks and Rec. Department (Community Service Award) and Cathy Singleton (Volunteer of the Year)!

About Runners of the Week

Runners of the Week has been a Ragged Mountain family tradition since 1982. Each week we select a few individuals (although sometimes we will actually spotlight all of the members of a relay team, like we did when the Western Albemarle Boys DMR indoor squad won the National title in 2008 or an entire team, as we did when the UVa Women won the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships way back in the Winter of 1982) as our “Runners of the Week".

We select a representative from three categories:
Community Runner of the Week, High School Runner of the Week and a UVa Runner of the Week.
The names of these individuals and their remarkable accomplishments, whether they’re amazing times or an incredible personal improvement, are posted on two different display boards at the shop.

Every single Ragged Mountain Runner of the Week will be awarded a classic Ragged Mountain t-shirt (the same design we’ve been using since Neal Gropen designed our shirt when he was our next door business neighbor in 1982).
