*Anne Chapin, who qualified for the Boston Marathon by 8 minutes with a sparkling 4:02 clocking at the Sugar Loaf Marathon in Maine. *Summer Shepard, who on the week of her wedding (to former Albemarle High and Columbia trackster Ben Deal), ran her first sub 19:00 5K as she sped to a 18:44! *To the 32 Speedsters and RMR team crew who all ran like the wind in their season ending 8K relay race last Wednesday! Every single two person team broke 30 minutes!

About Runners of the WeekRunners of the Week has been a Ragged Mountain family tradition since 1982. Each week we select a few individuals (although sometimes we will actually spotlight all of the members of a relay team, like we did when the Western Albemarle Boys DMR indoor squad won the National title in 2008 or an entire team, as we did when the UVa Women won the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships way back in the Winter of 1982) as our “Runners of the Week".
