It's hard to believe it's been 39 years since Mom & Dad took the risk of their young lives (against the advice of pretty much everyone they knew) and opened Ragged Mountain in a tiny upstairs space at the end of Elliewood Avenue. Much has changed over the past four decades, but one thing has remained the same...our humble gratitude for every single customer who walks through our doors to support our family business.
There is no doubt the last year has tested us deeply and has elicited some serious soul searching and reflection. With all that is going on in the world, we wake up each day energized, motivated and thankful. Thankful that our business has remained open throughout the pandemic, even if that looks a bit different than normal. Thankful that our customers are so understanding, enduring our outdoor setup the past 8 months and every possible weather scenario that comes with it. Thankful for all our health care workers and front line personnel who keep us safe and our community running. Thankful for everyone that wears a mask, and sacrifices daily for the greater good so that we can get through this pandemic together. And thankful for you all, who directly helped us to raise over $30,000 this year to contribute to dozens of local non profits, and who continue to make Charlottesville a better place to walk, run, and live.
